Hey, I’m Rafaela, I’m 24 years old and I’m from Lisbon, Portugal! I created the blog Dragons & Paperbacks (previously named The Portuguese Bibliophile) because I wanted a place where I could talk about books to my heart’s content!

I’m an avid reader, but when I’m not reading, some of my other hobbies include journalling, painting, playing nintendo, going to the movies, to the beach… I have more hobbies than free time! I’ll read just about any book that seems interesting to me, but my favorite genres are fantasy, romance (and indie fantasy romance).

I have so many favorite books that I couldn’t possibly make a definitive list, but at the top I’d say are: the ACOTAR series and the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas; the Shadowhunter books by Cassandra Clare; Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff; Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan; Keeper of the Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger; The Poppy War Trilogy by R. F. Kuang…. *and lots more*.
