Hello, friends! I’ve had a lovely holiday time with my family and I’m fully planning on just reading until the year ends. I hope you’ve all had a wonderful holidays and I’m sending you lots of love if you’re dealing with loss, away from your family or just having a hard time this year.

The Pumpkin Spice Late Book Tag

This tag was originally created by Azia at The Uncharted Word and I was not tagged but I found this tag on Sofii’s blog A Book A Thought and I cannot tell you how much I want to drink a pumpkin spice latte! It’s the one drink I always buys at Starbucks every year, sometimes the only reason I have to go into it all year (let’s be honest, it’s damn expensive and there’s only like 4 in my district and all very far away from my home). I even tried making one at home – 100% a disgusting failure that went down the drain immediately.

Small life update: I miss going into bookstores, museums, cinemas, beautiful gardens sooo much right now. I’m staying home and safe, I only go out to go to the gym, occasionally the supermarket or a restaurant and nothing else. I’m very happy with my bookstagram, it’s been a renewed source of joy and support and I’ve been talking about books with other people again, it’s lovely. I’m also journalling a lot and thinking about making bookmarkers and even writing again. Plus, I’m finally starting to feel less anxious about/feeling better about pushing my masters back a semester because the number of new cases in Portugal is rising and that’s so scary because public transportation is thought to be the main cause and I would’ve spent a significant amount of time commuting. Sooo, life is surprisingly good right now.

Animal Crossings New Horizons Book Tag

Today I’m bringing you the Animal Crossing New Horizons Book Tag because I just bought and started playing this AMAZING game a few days ago (so my island still has that original basic look and I can’t wait to be finally be able to design every little detail). I didn’t have any interest in this game before lit everyone start playing and loving it… I guess I just thought it was worth a chance, and I succumbed to the hype a bit – and it’s totally worth it! It’s so relaxing and happy. (I def need to go on a book buying ban though!)

I’m also in a bit of a reading slump because real life BS and stress… I can still read, but I’ve been reading so much less (I read three times total this week so far). I’m currently reading The Farm by Joanne Ramos, Head Over Heels by Hanna Orenstein and Apollyon by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

Stay At Home Book Tag

I’m finally doing this tag because I’m in a bit of a blogging slump? I just can’t seem to find inspiration and every time I have an idea or start a new post I start doubting myself. Is it original enough? Does anyone want to read this? I know everyone has these doubts and this too shall pass so today I am doing this tag and we’ll see how the next week and month go…

And as a short life update I just want to say I’m still staying safe at home, only occasionally going out to public places (mostly for food) and always taking all the recommended safety precautions (wear a mask friends!) while sending internship and job applications that no one answers. Tiny bit of sarcasm aside, I’m doing pretty well mentally actually and getting shit done so yay.

Frankly, I get tagged to do these (and awards) often and I thank everyone who tags me, it makes me so happy that you thought of me, but tags and awards are often very repetitive and boring so I tend to only do the ones I think are interesting!

This is also just the type of fun post that I need right now because I’m way too stressed from university. I almost decided to put this blog in hiatus for a month or two but I figured if I actually take a minute to breathe and actually focus on doing things instead of procrastinating for half the day I can do it all…
